Just remember: they hate you

It’s not just a difference of opinion. It’s not two approaches to a common problem. They hate you. They want you to suffer and they enjoy causing you pain. In the not so distant political past this used to be an unacceptable way of acting in public but not anymore. Not only do they want you to hurt but they want to make sure you know they caused it.

When this current phase of politics is over (and it will end, it always does) and the pendulum has swung back you must remember: they hate you. There will be an immeasurably small amount of time between the happiness they felt causing you to suffer to the cries of injustice when the exact mechanisms they used to harm you are turned onto them.

They will lie directly to your face and say that they either didn’t agree with, or had nothing to do with, what you had to endure while they happily wielded the various weapons of government against you. By voting for someone who promised to cause you pain, they exercised the only modern and legal means to take their perceived revenge against you and people like you. So when they come crawling back to participate, as equals, in the post-pendulum swing society just remember: they hate you.

Do not feel bad doing to them what they have done to you. That is my new tenet of political justice and it is deserved. It is simply not enough to fix everything they broke they must learn why it was so bad to break it. They must be held accountable for everything. If this is an eye for an eye then so be it start printing ballots in braille. You cannot let them reintegrate into the political space they must be outcast.
